Romanian Labor law was subject to major changes reflected in
the New Labor Code that came in force on the March 1st
2003.
The employee
According to the legal provisions, a person cannot be employed
before the age of 15.
Plurality of functions
Any person has the possibility to sign several employments
contracts and be paid for each of them.
The employee must inform his employer about the existence of the
other positions. Nevertheless, the work contract cannot forbid the
plurality of positions (except for the « non-competition »
clause).
The plurality of positions is not allowed in case of obvious
incompatibility (for example the position of judge is incompatible
with any other position except teacher).
